Your Questions Answered - Camping at Wannasee Hertfordshire.
Camping Facilities
Wannasee Hertfordshire has excellent camping facilities available, all close to the main festival site. There are a number of large camp sites, each located very close to the main festival area, in a picturesque site, so you can pitch up, relax, and enjoy a whole weekend of brilliant live music, without a long hike!
CAMP SITES: The camp sites will be split between Standard Camping and Quiet Camping. Each camp site will have sections for Live-In Vehicles (Motorhomes, Caravans and Camper Vans), or Tents and accompanying cars, parked securely and safely, close by to the tents area. The sites will be filled sequentially, upon arrival, to ensure organised camping and a fair pitch size for everyone, so if you want to pitch up next to your friends please aim to meet up and arrive together.
TENTS: If camping in a tent, whilst we do not operate strict pitch sizes, please use discretion to be fair to everyone and bring a tent that is no larger than 2-person per camper, e.g. no bigger than a 4-person tent for 2 people, 6-person tent for 3 people, 8-person tent for 4 people, etc. This will ensure everyone gets fair space, as if everyone brought 8-person tents for 2 campers, for example, it would reduce the number of camping tickets available.
QUIET CAMPING: There designated quiet camp sites will have a strictly enforced noise curfew of 11.30pm, which you will be able to camp in, by choosing the Quiet Camping tickets option, to ensure you get a peaceful night's sleep.
DISABLED: The FREE DISABLED ACCESS PERMIT is available to order (one per person) for individuals who require camping in the Disabled Camping Area of their respective camp site and access to the disabled facilities inside the music arena.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Anyone aged 14-17 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult (age 25 or above) and anyone aged 13 or under MUST be accompanied by a responsible adule (age 18 or above).
- Campsite access is from 10am on Friday 2nd June 2023 until 2pm on Monday 5th June 2023. The popular early arrival option on Thursday night, where you can choose to arrive and pitch up on Thursday 1st June 2023 between 4pm and 9pm.
- Camping ticket prices are on our Hertfordshire Tickets Page and include full entry to the music and free parking for the length of your stay.
- If you have a car you can park close by to your tent in the nearest available parking zone, for the duration of your stay, so no long walks carrying your camping gear!
- Cars can park next to caravans and small awnings on the side of caravans and motor homes are permitted. All camp sites will have 24 hour security, drinking water, toilet blocks which will be manned 24/7 and access to the showers blocks.
- Please note that the sites are filled sequentially to keep the camp sites organised and to ensure everyone gets a fair pitch so pitches cannot be kept empty and 'reserved' for later arrivals.

Camping tickets cover the full weekend of camping and music for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Camping tickets are per person and cover camping in a tent and include free car parking. If camping in a motorhome, caravan or camper van, a Live-In Vehicle Permit (one per live-in vehicle) also needs to be purchased in addition to the individual camping tickets.
Camping is charged per person, per night, irrespective of age.
We allow caravans, camper vans and motorhomes and a £10 (per vehicle) Motorhome/Caravan Pitch Permit must be purchased.
Due to logistical restrictions we are currently unable to offer any electrical hook ups.
The camp site can be accessed from 10am on the Friday (29th April 2022) and at any time after this, as we have full time security on site. The camp site will close at 3pm on the Monday (2nd May 2022).
For 2022 we also have a new early arrival option where you can arrive on the Thursday (28th April 2022) evening and pitch up any time between 4pm and 9pm.
Both the normal and quiet/family camping sections in the camp site will have 24/7 security, toilets and access to the showers block, and are just a short stroll from the main festival site (see map on this page). However, the quiet/family area will have a midnight noise curfew, so once the festival music is over each day at 11pm and everyone has had time to return to their tent, caravan, motor home, etc, the security will politely ensure that the quiet/family camping area is kept quiet, so the little ones (and adults) can get some sleep!
You may bring food and drink to the festival for your own personal consumption within the designated camping areas only. Picnics can be taken into the main festival site with soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles. No alcohol is allowed onto the main site due to our licensing conditions.
There will also be cooked breakfast available from some of the food traders every morning if you don’t have the stomach to make a fry up after the night before!
Please note, for your own safety, you are not permitted to bring glass onto any part of the festival site.
We allow BBQ’s in a controlled environment that must be supervised at all times. They must be raised off the floor & away from tents & cars. Open fires are not allowed.
We know there is a chance that you may want a bit of a lie in after a hard day or two partying, so you can stay on site until 2.00pm on the Monday.
Yes, we will have a quiet area reserved for families on the camp site. Upon arrival, simply ask the marshals to direct you to this area.
Great news campers, you can park your cars close to your tent, caravan, etc, so there are no long walks and humping of equipment at this fest! All we will ask is that you keep out of the emergency vehicle access lanes that will be marked out.
The campsites will each have 24 hour security, floodlights, portable toilets, access to the main showers block and fresh water available. A cleaning team will be on hand throughout the weekend to keep the toilets and showers nice and clean.
