Your Questions Answered - Camping at Wannasee BISHOP AUCKLAND

campiniconWannasee Bishop Auckland has excellent camping facilities only 2 minutes walk from the main festival stadium. Located in a beautiful rural site, you can pitch up, relax, and enjoy a whole weekend of brilliant live music, without a long hike!

You can bring a tent, camper van, motor home or caravan and if you have a car you can park right next to your tent or caravan, for the duration of your stay, so no long walks carrying your camping gear! The camp site will have 24 hour security, a quiet separate family camping section, drinking water, toilets and showers, all on the site.

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Campsite access is from 10am on Friday 26th May until 3pm on Monday 29th May 2017, so you can have a lie in!. Camping ticket prices are on our Bishop Tickets Page and include free parking for the length of your stay. WHAT TICKET OPTIONS ARE THERE FOR CAMPING?

 

Camping can be booked for between 1, 2 or 3 nights stay, Fri night camping is free to you if you purchase a Sat or Weekend ticket.  Children have to pay for camping but at a reduced rate.

ARE TICKETS CHARGED PER TENT OR PERSON?

Camping is charged per person, per night, irrespective of age.

ARE CARAVANS OR MOTORHOMES ALLOWED?

We allow caravans, camper vans and motorhomes on site and you can park your car next to your pitch or tent so there’s no long walks carrying your camping gear!

ARE ELECTRIC HOOK UPS AVAILABLE FOR CARAVANS?

Due to logistical restrictions we are currently unable to offer any electrical hook ups.

WHEN CAN WE ACCESS THE CAMPING SITE?

The camp site can be accessed from 10am on the Friday (26th August) and at any time after this, as we have full time security on site. The camp site will close at 2pm on the Monday (29th).

CAN I BRING FOOD & DRINK ON SITE IF I AM CAMPING?

You may bring food and drink to the festival for your own personal consumption within the designated camping areas only. Picnics can be taken into the main festival site with soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles.  No alcohol is allowed onto the main site due to our licensing conditions.

There will also be cooked breakfast available from some of the food traders every morning if you don’t have the stomach to make a fry up after the night before!

Please note, for your own safety, you are not permitted to bring glass onto any part of the festival site.

CAN I BRING A BBQ?

We allow BBQ’s in a controlled environment that must be supervised at all times. They must be raised off the floor & away from tents & cars. Open fires are not allowed. 

WHAT TIME DO WE HAVE TO BE DEPARTED BY?

We know there is a chance that you may want a bit of a lie in after a hard day or two partying, so you can stay on site until 2.00pm on the Monday.

IS THERE A DESIGNATED AREA FOR FAMILY CAMPING?

Yes we will have an area reserved for families, please ask the marshal on arrival to direct you to this area.

CAN I PARK NEXT TO MY TENT?

Great news campers, you can park your cars right next to your tent, caravan, etc, so there are no long walks and humping of equipment at this fest! All we will ask is that you keep out of the emergency vehicle access lanes that will be marked out.

WHAT FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE CAMPSITE?

The campsite will have 24 hour security, floodlights, portable toilets, showers and fresh water available. A cleaning team will be on hand throughout the weekend to keep the toilets and showers nice and clean.
