Your Questions Answered About Wannasee Bishop Auckland

Tickets

HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?

Before the festival day, you can buy tickets from this website using a debit or credit card, such as VISA or MASTERCARD or using your PayPal account. You can also buy tickets from one of our local ticket outlets (tourist information, shops, etc) that are listed on each festival’s Tickets Page and on the festival posters and flyers.

You cannot buy tickets online or from local ticket outlets on the day of the festival. If there are tickets still available at this time then they will be sold at the entrance gate, at a higher selling price than the advance ticket prices.

WHAT IS AN EARLY-BIRD TICKET?

If you buy your tickets during the early-bird period, you’ll get them for a reduced price that will be up to 40% less than the full price. There will be two limited time early bird promotions before the festival with prices being increased each time therefore reducing the discount the longer you leave the purchase.

The earlier you buy the cheaper the ticket & the larger the saving!

CAN I BUY TICKETS ON THE DAY?

Tickets may be available on the day, if the event hasn’t sold out in advance, but will only be available at the gate and will be a higher price than the advance order ticket prices.

ARE THERE ANY TICKET PRICE CONCESSIONS FOR THE DISABLED OR THEIR CARERS?

There are no discounts for disabled persons, however If you are accompanying a cared-for person who has a ticket, we will allow you in for free. We usually like you to show some carers ID, if you have some, to ease the transition through the doors and security.

If it’s the festival day and you don’t have your tickets then a ‘last ditch’ lifeline is available. We will be able to check you in manually using our database of the names of the people who order the tickets. However, if we can’t find your booking on the system please don’t be surprised if we ask you a security questions, such as your address or the last 4 digits of the card you paid with, so that we know we have the right person.

CAN I TRANSFER TICKETS TO ANOTHER FESTIVAL?

CAN WE LEAVE AND COME BACK IN?

Yes, you can. When you enter the festival for the first time we will scan your ticket and provide you with a wristband to wear for the duration of the festival. Simply show your wristband to leave and re-enter the festival whenever you like.

WILL THERE BE PLENTY OF CLEAN TOILETS?

Yes, we can guarantee that there will be sufficient toilet facilities located throughout the festival site and camping sites, including disabled toilets, and we will have a team of cleaners on site throughout the weekend to ensure they are kept nice and clean. No more horrible festival toilets!

WHAT’S THERE FOR THE KIDS?

There will be a variety of stalls, childrens rides/inflatables face painting, craft stalls & more on site throughout the festival. There may be a small charge on some of these whilst some will be free. Children can stay until the end of the festival.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD & DRINK?

On first entry you are allowed to bring in one sealed bottle of soft drink or water, maximum 500ml. Other than that, a small picnic may also be fetched into the festival. All other drinks must be purchased from our licensed bar, which will have a large variety of alcohol and soft drinks, with very competitive prices, unlike normal festival charges. There will also be a wide range of food stalls, again at very favourable prices. At Wannasee we want you to have a great time without emptying your wallet!

WHAT DRINKS ARE AVAILABLE?

Wannasee Festivals have a draught bar offering lager, cider, beer & some real ales, also selling cocktails, spirits and soft drinks all at reasonable prices….we don’t hit your wallet like some festivals! Hot drinks & some soft refreshments will also be on sale at the food traders.

We operate a challenge 21 policy at the festival, so please bring a recognised form of ID if you are lucky enough to look that young.

WHAT ARE DRINK TOKENS?

To avoid exchanging cash at the bar and to speed up serving drinks, we use a drink token scheme. You buy drink tokens from the token desk next to the bar and then exchange the tokens at the bar for drinks. Drink tokens are non-refundable so please only purchase what you intend on consuming.

WHAT FOOD IS AVAILABLE?

You can expect a great variety of cuisine, such as pizza, burgers, hot dogs, curry, noodles, jacket potatoes, wraps & much more, plus all the sweet things you can think of from ice cream to milk shakes, all at reasonable prices.

The food traders cannot all guarantee to cater for all special dietary requirements, lifestyle choices (vegan etc) or those with allergies or food intolerances. Please ask the individual food traders for information.

CAN I BRING CHAIRS, TABLES OR BLANKETS?

Yes, you can. We do provide plenty of tables and chairs around the bar and food area, but cannot guarantee availability to everyone. If you really would like to sit throughout the festival then you are more than welcome to bring your own.

IS THERE A CASH POINT OR BANK CARD FACILITIES ON SITE?

No, at the minute we are unable to provide these facilities, but we are currently looking at the logistics of being able to provide them.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED ON SITE?

WHAT DISABLED FACILITIES ARE THERE?

There are disabled toilet facilities in the clubhouse on the ground floor, plus disabled toilets in the festival site and camping area. We have full disabled site access and can also offer a raised viewing area in the main grandstand, exclusively for our disabled patrons and accompanying party, that is accessible via a lift. If you would like to use this please email us via our Contact page to confirm.  Alternatively you can join everyone else on the main pitch which has easy level access.  If you have any other special requirements please do not hesitate to email us via our Contact Page.

IS IT SAFE?

We provide a safe and secure environment at all of our festivals and our zero tolerance approach is backed up by an experienced and professional security team.

However, it is still the responsibility of parents to maintain the welfare of their children and we expect under 18 year olds to be accompanied an adult. A Lost Child Meeting Point will be clearly signposted and there will be security marshals and stewards (wearing bright yellow and orange tabards) throughout the site, who are happy to help at all times. We also provide a dedicated medical room that is staffed by trained first-aiders.

IS THERE A PHONE SIGNAL & WIFI AVAILABLE?

There is a good phone reception at the event for calls and mobile internet access however at this moment in time we are unable to provide a dedicated Wi-Fi.

WHAT IF IT’S BAD WEATHER?

There will be limited seating available in the main grandstand, if there is heavy rain, and a large covered standing area to view the stage. However, we have booked good weather so we will all be basking in sunshine!
